Dr. Mitchell McKinney will direct NCA Academic and Professional Affairs in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Jennifer Becker has been named an Outstanding Alumni at Ball State University. She earned her MA in Communication there in 1999.

Congratulations to Dr. Debbie Dougherty and Dr. Mitchell McKinney on their promotions to Associate Professors with tenure.

Joy Piazza has presented her paper at the Southwest/Texas Popular College Association/American Popular Culture Association 27th annual meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on February 8-11, 2006 Her paper was titled "[De]sissifying men: Angel and promasculinist resistance to Buffyworld",

Tammy McGuire and Dr. Debbie Dougherty published their article "Paradoxing the Dialectic" in the February 2006 issue of Management Communication Quarterly.

Dr. Debbie Dougherty was recognized at the "Excellence in Education Awards" on April 25, 2006

February 2006

Mayor Darwin Hindman recognized Dr. Debbie Dougherty and her effort with the "Buck-A-Person" fund. She helped donate $4300 to the Century Fund "Adopt-A-City". The city adopted is Pascagoula, MS.

Dr. Debbie Dougherty's research concerning Sexual Harassment of Nurses has been featured in Missouri newspapers.

Dr. Loren Reid was featured in the December 2005 issue of Spectra
