My name is Kara Starnes, and I am a first year PhD student studying Organizational Communication. Particularly, I am interested in power and sexual harassment. I am also interested in research regarding leadership and social class. Additionally, I have presented research at the National Communication Association Conference and the Central States Communication Association. I have taught at 5 different colleges in Missouri for the past 5 years. In addition to teaching, I have been involved in public speaking showcases for undergraduate students for 7 years across Missouri. I enjoy helping undergraduate students prepare to speak in public speaking showcases. I have the honor of teaching one of my passions, COMM 1200.
