Christopher S. Josey, Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Communication and Director of the Honors Program and Undergraduate Research at the University of Missouri, has received a prestigious teaching award from the National Communication Association’s Mass Communication Division for his excellence and dedication to teaching.
Dr. Christopher S. Josey focuses on integrating research, experiential learning, inclusivity, and relatability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. In his classroom, students actively participate in research-driven activities, such as media analysis and symposium presentations, while experiential learning projects, like implicit bias tests and digital field studies, deepen their understanding.
