Jinwen Yue is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication. She is interested in family stories and storytelling about parenting issues. Specifically, she focuses on how the different parenting identities contribute to heterosexual couples’ understandings of their parental experiences through family storytelling. She also researches intergenerational storytelling and examines what values mothers want to pass on to their daughters when they share their parenting stories. Jinwen is also a teaching assistant for COMM 2100 (Media Communication in Society).
