Dr. Stephen A. Klien, a faculty member and Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Department of Communication, was recently honored with the 2024 Provost Award for University Citizenship in Faculty Service. This prestigious award recognizes MU faculty who have demonstrated exemplary university citizenship through outstanding faculty service to the MU campus. Typically awarded to one faculty member each year, the honor comes with a $1,000 prize. 

He was recognized for his exceptional contributions to achieving the university's goals while embodying its core values. Service in this award category include but are not limited to, committee work, campus-wide programming or initiatives, and community service at local, state, regional, national, or international level.

Dr. Klien was honored along with other faculty award recipients during Faculty Excellence Week, a celebration of the outstanding achievements and contributions of MU faculty members. The Department of Communication is proud of Dr. Klien's achievements and his dedication to serving the university community.
