Miranda Brunn
Miranda Brunn is a first-year student in the Department of Communication at Mizzou. While originally from Georgia, she obtained her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Miranda is interested in interpersonal and family communication with a focus in international and immigrant populations. She often utilizes narrative approaches to better understand the experiences of parent-child and romantic relationships. Additionally, she is interested in the field of deception detection and is currently exploring the manifestation of this phenomenon online.
Outside of research, Miranda teaches public speaking courses at the undergraduate level and is an active member of the Global Network Association at the University of Missouri. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, travelling, reading, and cooking.
