Reece Furkin is a second year PhD student and graduate instructor at Mizzou studying Organizational Communication. She received her B.A. in Communication at the University of Missouri with minors in Art History and Ancient Mediterranean Studies. Reece is currently pursuing a degree in Organizational Communication with a focus on organizational culture, sexuality, and gender. Reece’s research focuses on how organizations govern constructions of gender and sexuality within their culture, how organizational logics, such as the organization-as-family metaphor, shape organizational culture, and understanding organizing as a complex and messy process.
