Bio

Jennifer “Jenn” Brown is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication with an emphasis in organizational communication.  

Jenn received a BA in physics from Westminster College in Fulton, MO, a BS in applied science in chemical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and a MS in college student personnel from Western Illinois University before beginning her career as a student affairs professional at the University of Missouri.  

In her current role as Director of K-20 Access and Outreach Initiatives within MU’s Office of Academic Access and Leadership Development, Jenn enjoys creating opportunities for any student to experience and benefit from the university’s many resources. Jenn’s full-time role within the university drives her scholarly interest in how communication constitutes organizations and organizational culture, particularly in the relationships between leaders, leadership, and individual identity.
