Bio

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2005 and my Master of Arts in Sociology in 2010, both from the University of Missouri. During undergrad I worked at the Women’s Center here on campus and was involved in several campus projects centered around social inequality. While in graduate school I taught a variety of courses in the Department of Sociology working with and getting to know students of various degree programs. As a graduate student I continued to focus my education on the topic of social inequalities and began to actualize my true and lifelong passion of helping others. Some of my hobbies include crocheting, cooking, biking, hiking, weightlifting, and adventures with my dog, Vala.
