Miranda Brunn is a second-year student in the Department of Communication at Mizzou. While originally from Georgia, she obtained her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Miranda is interested in interpersonal and family communication with a focus in international and immigrant populations. She often utilizes narrative approaches to better understand the experiences of parent-child and romantic relationships. Additionally, she is interested in applying intergroup research to contact between various cultural groups in the United States and Europe. 

Outside of research, Miranda teaches public speaking courses at the undergraduate level and serves as the Vice President of the Global Network Association at the University of Missouri. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, travelling, reading, and cooking.
