Holly Lakin (BA ’10) graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Communication. She is a strategic alliance and program management leader with more than a decade of experience partnering with biotech and pharmaceutical organizations to improve patient outcomes. She currently serves as Manager of Alliances at Illumina, where she leads strategic collaborations with biopharma partners focused on oncology companion diagnostics. In this role, she oversees the full partnership lifecycle—from deal development and implementation to governance and long-term strategic alignment—while working cross-functionally to deliver complex clinical and commercial programs.

Prior to Illumina, Lakin was a Senior Program Manager at Invitae, where she managed biopharma-sponsored genetic testing programs designed to expand access for patients with rare diseases. She has also held leadership roles at Health Perspectives Group, Virginia Mason Institute, and Patient Health Perspectives, where she led patient engagement initiatives, managed cross-functional teams, and executed large-scale healthcare programs. She began her career in public relations at Morningstar Communications.

Lakin is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Certificate of Achievement in Alliance Management (CA-AM). Passionate about improving the patient experience, she brings deep expertise in stakeholder engagement, program execution, and strategic communications to her work.
