4.15 Procedures for Internal Departmental Appointments

  1. When making internal appointments (Director of Undergraduate Studies, Interim Basic Course Director, Interim Director of Graduate Studies), the Chair will inform faculty at least two weeks prior to the decision that an appointment is being considered. The Chair will inform faculty of the last date to provide feedback on an appointment.
  2. During that period, the Chair is expected to solicit feedback from the faculty on the appointment and faculty are expected to provide input on the appointment.
  3. The Director of Undergraduate Studies is for a three year term. Faculty may be reappointed.
