Abigail holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Babcock University and master's degree (in view) from the University of Lagos both in Nigeria. Her research is focused on health communication, specifically how communication tools can serve as a developmental tool to salvage the health care sector. She is also interested in behavioral change communication in underserved communities, that is how communication tools including the media can improve individual's health outcomes. 

She currently serves in the department as a teaching assistant, where she teaches COMM 1200 (Public Speaking). Outside of her academic activities, she serves as the Communication Assistant for the African Graduate and Professional Student Association.
